SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
- Responsible for the oversight of the building maintenance including HVAC, boilers, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and electronic systems, carpentry/construction, painting etc., and general building repair, fountain maintenance, cleaning, and the upkeep.
- Coordinates the grounds maintenance including sidewalks and parking lot, planter/grass, sprinkler system and signage.
- Responsible for the oversight and control of the energy management system. Will establish and oversee a maintenance program for all building equipment, will maintain inventory and stock control of repair parts.
- The Manager will coordinate contractor work for the enterprise.
- Assists with the hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, disciplining, and motivating of the Maintenance staff to ensure tasks are done & highly efficient results are achieved.
- Ensures that all work is done with safety as a priority by using safe work procedures and following all safety rules and regulations.
- Must be familiar with the local codes to ensure the Enterprise stays in compliance.
- Will be required to assist in other departments when necessary or for training purposes.
- Performs the work of employees and other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities or Senior Management.
- Responsible of maintaining the emergency generator to make sure it maintains the guidelines of the Manufacturer.
- In the absence of the Facilities Manager would take on extra tasks if necessary.
- Includes Holiday event coordinating & set up, special event set up inside and outside of the casino.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must possess a valid CA driver’s license.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Education and/or training in engineering, mechanical or electrical or equivalent experience preferred. License or training certificate in at least 2 technical areas preferred. (i.e. electrical, HVAC, boilers etc.) Must be able to read plans/schematics. Requires at minimum OSHA 10 hr. cert. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in commercial building maintenance or facility management. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience. Requires familiarity with personal computer operations and word processing (Microsoft Word preferred) and spread sheet (Microsoft Excel preferred) applications.
Physical: Requires Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, grasping, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination. Normal vision (or corrected to normal), including color acuity and depth perception and hearing. Must be able to perform safely and effectively in outdoor conditions.
